Well, I'll get the ball rolling....

GK has impacted my life in so many ways.  It's brought me friends here and in Hollywood.  I've had the pleasure of speaking with a large part of the cast and I'm more than proud to consider them friends.  (Shoutout to Bjorn, Chance and Stefan!)

This show has allowed me to speak with Evan Wright and for him to tell me that I should never give up on my dream of writing and to call if we needed anything.

Other than that, this amazing seven hour phenom has given me the insight to what our troops really experience in times of war.  I'm thankfully for those who serve every single day!

and last but not least, GK has given me a whole slew of insults and vocabulary.

Really, what more can a small town girl ask for?

I definitely agree with you B about the new vocabulary. :)

And GK has totally opened up my perspective of Marines. I'll admit I used to not like them. I live in a town with a high population of marines (I live only like 45 mins from Camp Pendleton) and a lot of the young marines are jerks. Though after watching this I got to realize that they aren't all like this. And now I find myself taking a more appreciation of them.

On top of this I have added some brilliant actors into my obsessions (not just ASkars, which is who originally drew me to the series). Hopefully I will get to meet some of the them one of these days.

Anyways, thats how GK has stolen my life and I'm not much complaining :)

My turn now :)

I totally agree with the new vocabulary thing. Especially for me, being Chilean and speking Spanish as my mother tongue it's been amazing for me to learn all these new words and terms.

I have always been drawn to all things related to Marines and sooner or later I was gonna have to watch it. It has taught me so much about the US Marines, their lives in combat and their relationships.

It also changed my life because I got to meet the most wonderful people, from my girls to the actors.

GK is my go to DVD (and book) :)

I feel truly blessed!
